THREE TIME LOSER PATTY WETTERLING ENDORSES TARRYL CLARK
By Luke Hellier | September 30, 2009
Patty Wetterling, a three time loser for Congressional Office has endorsed State Senator Tarryl Clark’s run for U.S. Congress. Â Mrs. Wetterling previously lost elections for this congressional seat twice and once as a candidate for United States Senate.
On a side note the only candidate to ever lose 49 states for President, Walter Mondale, Â has also backed Clark.
Per usual the Minnesota DFL rank-and-file liberals are lining up behind the candidate with the most extreme views for the conservative 6th District.
Wetterling’s Message:
Tarryl and I have worked together as advocates, as mothers, and as leaders to make real change on behalf of Minnesotans. Tarryl speaks passionately about the needs of our children and families.  But what makes Tarryl effective is her willingness to roll up her sleeves to deliver on the issues that matter. Time and again, when her constituents or her neighbors have needed her, she gets the job done.

I guess we have to thank MDE for publishing the texts of Tarryl Clark’s campaign endorsements.

Hiram, there’s a question that Patty could never answer when she ran her “pro kids” campaigns. What would she do about about the rights of the unborn?
That’s a question that won’t be overlooked by voters in the 6th, Clark will do no better than Wetterling, probably even worse.

“What would she do about about the rights of the unborn?”
Well, there are a lot of answers she could have given. I am pretty sure however, that she wasn’t in favor of sending young women and girls to prison for having abortions.
This is a personal question, and I don’t mean it to be taken personally, and I am not really asking for an answer.
If your mother, or sister, or wife or daughter, had an abortion, would you report her to the police? If you sat on the jury in a criminal trial, would you vote to send a woman you loved to prison for having an abortion? If you would, you are pro-life. If not, you are pro-choice.

I’m going to answer anyway.
“If your mother, or sister, or wife or daughter, had an abortion, would you report her to the police? If you sat on the jury in a criminal trial, would you vote to send a woman you loved to prison for having an abortion?
What would the police do about something a practice that liberals have made legal? If it was illegal, yes I would report the matter to the police, just as I would if they had murdered anyone. And I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be on the jury because of my relationship to the accused and the fact I would be a possible witness for the prosecution.
Given the fact that abortion is legal, what does Clark think about the following:
Using taxpayer funds to pay for abortions?
Requiring mandatory counseling, before women can exersise their choice?
Parental approval for all women under the age of 18?
Late term abortions?
Like both you and Patty Wetterling, Tarryl Clark is pro-abortion. That might play well in the city of St. Paul, but not Minnesota’s 6th Congressional District.

“If it was illegal, yes I would report the matter to the police, just as I would if they had murdered anyone.”
Good for you. It isn’t just anyone who would put their daughter in jail. You are certifiably pro-life.
Here are my responses to your questions:
“Using taxpayer funds to pay for abortions?”
That would be something I would accept in return for health care reform.
“Requiring mandatory counseling, before women can exercise their choice?”
I don’t know if I have a problem with this. As part of a general standard of care, this may actually be the right thing to do. I don’t think medical professionals should perform procedures without thoroughly discussing them with patients, as appropriate.
“Parental approval for all women under the age of 18?”
No. The decision to have a child is the woman’s.
“Late term abortions?”
It would depend on what pro-lifers were willing to put on the table. But always conditional on the health of the mother.
Most importantly, Tarryl doesn’t want to put our sisters and daughters in jail. Michele does.

Hiram, if your daughter murdered someone, are you saying you wouldn’t notify the police. It would be pretty hard to visit her if you were in jail too.
Hiram, are far as the 6th CD goes, you failed but one question. Ever think about joining the Clark campaign?

“if your daughter murdered someone, are you saying you wouldn’t notify the police.”
No.
“are far as the 6th CD goes, you failed but one question. Ever think about joining the Clark campaign?”
No. I don’t think putting time and money into the sixth district is worth the effort. It’s a Republican leaning seat which would be very difficult to hold, and it’s possible that it might go away in two years. I don’t see why it’s in my interest to support Tarryl’s personal ego trip.
