I have a feeling the "free coffee and donuts" are will still end up on the expense account of Coleman's mayoral campaign.

AC has a point that a private group holding a forum can control admission to the event. That said, when you invite the media, it does lift the veil of privacy and the staffer should have been allowed in. This is typical of union thuggery.

Where's Hiram on this issue? I suppose he'll say that Coleman and Rybak were there for the free coffee and donuts.

Was the MN GOP staff member in question a dues-paying member of the MN AFL-CIO? If not, then they have no reasonable expectation of being allowed entrance to this event. The AFL-CIO has every right to approve/reject attendance.

Now, if you are going to complain about this, I hope you were complaining jsut as loudly when Norm Coleman held a press conference in his back yard and then refused access to credentialed journalists that he simply did not like.
