RYBAK LIES ABOUT HIS RECORD ON CRIME

Mayor Rybak is on the road kicking off his campaign for Governor and made a quick stop in Bemidji. The paper did a story about Rybak’s history with guns.
The key quote from Rybak comes early in the story:
“I have been the mayor of the largest city in the state who has successfully fought crime and dramatically driven it down,†Rybak said Wednesday in an interview. “
I will refer you back to a previous post I did on MDE about Rybak’s true history of controlling crime in Minneapolis.
Under Rybak’s first term and a half violent crime sky-rocketed to levels the city of Minneapolis had not seen in generations. Furthermore, while Rybak claims to have lowered crime, the murder rate in 2008 was still higher than that of his first year in office of 2002. Also, cases of assault and rape were considerably higher every year under Rybak’s command. Mayor Rybak has failed the people of Minneapolis to make it a safer place to live. Does Rybak plan to use the same lack luster approach as Governor?
