Great strategy on Team Emmer’s part: hide the terrible cash on hand numbers until too late so no one knows when they go into vote. Certainly, if people knew that their local state representative has more cash on hand than a state-wide candidate for Governor, they’d consider that gubernatorial candidacy a joke.

Your map is wrong. Steele County went for Emmer.

You’re right. I missed that one. I’ll get it fixed.

Luke, the SOS website shows almost 20% of DFL precincts still haven’t reported. Is there some funny business going on?

J Galt, I think this map is just the CD level results. There’s another map which tries to go BPOU by BPOU.

Its interesting that the conservatives areas of the state supported Seifert. Maybe Emmer’s people will stop referring to him as a RINO now.

There’s a lot of Emmer hatin’ going on, and it makes Seifert supporters look bad. I’m happy to have 3 conservatives in the top three. Instead of bashing Emmer, focus on the Dems who really deserve it.

Lassie, I agree.

Sorry to nitpick, but why is there still two different map results? The map you show above has different results from the map listed at the ‘Full BPOU Maps” link just below. The linked map shows red in Blue Earth County (Mankato) as well as 4 counties in Northwestern Minnesota. Which one is accurate?

I do not “hate” Emmer. However I do have a strong dislike for what many of his supporters are doing. They frequently refer to anyone who does not currently support Emmer as a “RINO”. Some have even said they will not vote for anyone but Emmer, if he loses they will stay home.
I will support Marty Seifert all the way to the convention. If for some reason someone else wins the endorsement I will support the endorsed candidate as much as I currently support Marty.
Why do we even have to be concerned about supporters of other candidates sitting out the next election if their candidate is not endorsed?

Mr. Galt,
The above map is of just congressional districts. A candidate could win a congressional district without winning all counties. There are two different maps. The BPOU map drills down results further than those above.
Thanks,
Luke

Hmmm. I understand your explanation and the intent, but showing a map defined by BPOU lines seems to logically infer results by BPOU. A congressional district map should just show CD’s.
And the confusion deepens since you changed Steele County to Emmer, while the rest of CD 1 is blue for Siefert.
A for effort, C- for implementation.
