UPDATE: RASMUSSEN POLL ON MINNESOTA’S GUBERNATORIAL RACE
By Luke Hellier | March 11, 2010
Rasmussen Reports released a recent poll on the Minnesota Governor’s Race. A few of the numbers immediately stand out.
53% of Minnesotans oppose the Health Care Reform plan in Congress.
49% of Minnesotans disapprove of the job of President Obama. Obama received 54% of the vote in the 2008 election.
30% of Minnesotans have an unfavorable opinion of Mark Dayton
Margaret Anderson Kelliher’s unfavorable rating is 6% higher than her favorable rating.
Both Tom Emmer and Marty Seifert are either in a statistical dead heat with Democratic opponents or outright beating them
Kurt Daudt, Campaign Manager Seifert for Governor commented on today’s results:
“We are very pleased with the results of the Rasmussen gubernatorial poll. This poll shows that Marty Seifert is the strongest Republican candidate for Governor when matched up against all DFL opponents. Seifert leads a former U.S. Senator, the Speaker of the House in Minnesota, and is tied with the Mayor of Minneapolis.
While there’s much work to be done, Marty is excited to take his positive message around the state, meeting with delegates to explain why he gives Republicans the best chance of a victory in November.”

The only thing it’s safe to say about this year’s governor’s race in Minnesota is that both parties will pick their candidates in primaries on August 10. Other than that, the race is a free-for-all.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely voters in the state shows the top Republican candidates, former Minnesota House Minority Leader Marty Seifert and State Representative Tom Emmer, running essentially even with the top three Democratic contenders in match-ups that also include Independence Party contender Tom Horner.
But at least 10 candidates are seeking the nomination of Minnesota’s Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. Some of the lesser-known candidates don’t fare quite as well against the GOP hopefuls.

Don’t you think there might be credibility problems in a poll that at least suggests that 30% of Minnesotans even know who Tom Bakk is?

It’s funny how you guys cherry pick the polls to spin your partisan agenda.
I seriously wonder why the vast majority of the polls are ignored?
Oh wait… this is the MN GOP after all.
Nevermind!
