The Star Tribune is reporting that Matt Entenza is willing to spend a significant amount of cash to win the DFL primary:
Former House Minority Leader Matt Entenza has said he would be willing to spend $6 million or more to become the party’s nominee…
Entenza said last week that he was referring to what it would take to win, not vowing to spend that amount. But he presumably has plenty of family assets at his disposal. His wife, Lois Quam, a former UnitedHealth top executive, sold nearly $31 million in stock options between 2000 and 2006, according to Lancer Analytics.
This should make for an exciting DFL primary. One has to wonder how willing the DFL will be to protecting their endorsed candidate. If they do, they will be limping into a fall election with the Republican nominee.

Does Mr. Lois Quam have to list the fees he pays private investigators to dig up dirt on his fellow Democrats on his campaign disclosure forms if his wife is footing the bill?
Personally, I don’t care where they waste their money, but I just don’t want Mrs. Lois Quam to be writing the skullduggery off her tax bills.

BTW, seeing as how the Mrs. wears the pants, I’m guessing the checkbook isn’t the only personal item belonging to Mr. Quam to be found in her purse!
