A BRIEF REMINDER OF WHO WE’RE DEALING WITH – THE EXTREMISTS

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

Minnesota’s GOP first-term senators respond to Gov. Dayton’s comments that they are extremists. Here’s what Dayton actually said: MNGOP Deputy Chair Michael Brodkorb also responded to coverage of the left in the Star Tribune: “How did Dayton reward this olive branch from the GOP leadership? He publicly attacked the legislators who politely asked questions of [...]

MN GOP BPOU SEASON UNDERWAY

Saturday, February 12th, 2011

It’s that time of year again. Shortly after the groundhog emerges annually from his winter dwelling for a peak at the outside world, Minnesota’s most active and informed Republican activists also emerge to gather in their basic political operating units (BPOUs) and conduct the business of the Party. To submit any information from your BPOU, [...]

MDE INTERVIEW FEATURED IN CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF POLITICS AND GOVERNANCE/HHH INSTITUTE NEWSLETTER

Friday, January 11th, 2008

I was interviewed by Eric Ostermeier, author of Smart Politics, for Center for the Study of Politics and Governance newsletter.  From the interview: "The importance of the Internet grows with each election cycle. Candidates now use it as a critical fundraising tool, networks like CNN use it to solicit questions from the public for presidential [...]

ANOTHER PROUD HIGHLIGHT OF MDE IN THE STAR TRIBUNE’S BLOG HOUSE

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

"Delicious irony After DFLer Kevin Dahle defeated Republican Ray Cox in the Senate District 25 special election last week, blogger Michael Brodkorb wrote, 'Negative politics works … . According to sources close to the race, the DFL didn't spend any money on promoting a positive message about Dahle.' Considering the level of issues analysis and [...]

AM I THE 3RD “WORST POLITICAL PERSON” IN THE ENTIRE STATE?

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Last year I was #1, but now I've moved down (or up) to #3 on the list from the Minnesota Network for Progressive Active Blog of the "Worst Political Persons in Minnesota."

WELCOME TO THE NEW MINNESOTA DEMOCRATS EXPOSED

Monday, May 7th, 2007

As I have promised for the last week, this is the new look of Minnesota Democrats Exposed.    The genius behind the logo and layout design was Derek Brigham and the mechanics was Brian Mason.  Both of these gentlemen are at the top of their craft and they couldn't have done a better job. The [...]

Friday, August 18th, 2006

Starting tomorrow, I'll be co-hosting a two-hour radio program from 3-5 p.m. with King Banaian of SCSU Scholars on AM 1280 The Patriot.   Please leave a comment (except Roving Reporter and Brian Hanna) with your suggestions for topics and guests.

NICK COLEMAN COMES TO ELLISON’S DEFENSE?

Friday, July 7th, 2006

I wrote when I broke the story about Keith Ellison's driving record that almost everyone (damn perfect drivers) has the occasional traffic violation (my last speeding ticket was in 2001) and nobody likes to pay traffic tickets. I just spoke with Nick Coleman from the Star Tribune and he asked me if I thought the media coverage [...]

MDE IN THE NEWS: ROLL CALL: ELLISON MAY BE IN SOME TROUBLE

Tuesday, June 27th, 2006

This is a great article.  Keith Ellison is in deep trouble.    ##  Minn. Party Designee May Be in Some Trouble Roll Call Staff June 27, 2006 A few weeks ago, Minnesota state Rep. Keith Ellison’s (D) prospects of becoming the first Muslim ever to serve in Congress looked strong. As he moved toward the Sept. 12 [...]

THE SUN IS SHINING ON ME THIS WEEK

Wednesday, June 21st, 2006

First I get mentioned in the DFL Dispatch and now my friends at MN Publius have added me to their blogroll.  It's been a good week.  Now I just wish my hair would grow back.

HONESTY IS ALWAYS THE BEST POLICY

Wednesday, June 21st, 2006

I dropped $20 bill on the floor at lunch today.  I didn't notice it was missing until after I ate my meal.  A fellow patron of the restaurant noticed I was looking for my money and gave me back my $20 bill they found on the floor. Today has been a good day.

FYI: POSTS ON THE U.S. SENATE RACE

Wednesday, June 21st, 2006

I will still post relevant press releases about the U.S. Senate race as I started this long before I started consulting to Kennedy's U.S. Senate campaign. UPDATE: I've been sick for the last few days and a friend notice five typos in a previous version of this post.

A MESSAGE FROM MDE

Sunday, June 18th, 2006

I am excited to announce that starting Monday, I will be a part-time consultant to Mark Kennedy's U.S. Senate campaign.  I am not a full-time paid campaign staffer and the concept of me working with Mark Kennedy's campaign only became a reality in the last few days. Since the ideas and opinions expressed on Minnesota Democrats Exposed are exclusively my [...]

MDE IN THE NEWS: POST-BULLETIN: WRITING IN THE WINGS: GOP BLOGGER FOLLOWS DFL

Saturday, June 10th, 2006

"Michael Brodkorb sat above the convention floor at Mayo Civic Center, watching the unfolding of the DFL state convention like a music critic waiting for a false note. He heard many that day. That's when Brodkorb would pounce, sending his thoughts out into the blogosphere with an acerbic wit that has made him one of [...]

PLAYING THE RACE CARD

Wednesday, May 17th, 2006

I can't write posts about Keith Ellison without being called  "stupid, desperate, or racist."

BLOGGING AS I’M DRIVING

Monday, May 8th, 2006

I'm actually not the one driving, so don't call the highway patrol.

BLOGGING FROM THE BALLPARK?

Sunday, May 7th, 2006

I'm not that dedicated.  I'll expose more Democrats later tonight.

BLOGGING ON THE BEACH

Saturday, May 6th, 2006

As I predicted yesterday, I'm sitting on the beach.

I’M OUTTA HERE

Friday, May 5th, 2006

This weekend is going to be very busy.  But while most of the readers of Minnesota Democrats Exposed will be in conventions endorsing (or trying to endorse) candidates for congress, I'll be sitting on the beach sipping a Margarita or learning how to surf.
