UPDATE: It's 12:37 p.m. and I'm in New Prague getting a bite to eat at McDonalds.  I've seen numerous people with "I Voted" today stickers.

UPDATE #2: I've heard a rumor from someone in the district that Kevin Dahle may have sent an email to teachers at their official accounts regarding today's election. Dahle is a teacher and the email may have been sent from his official account.  If Dahle did send the account from his official account, maybe he should be running for secretary of state instead of the senate.

UPDATE #3: It's 3:01 p.m. and I'm hearing a really positive response from people as I door knock throughout the district.  It's getting cold, but folks are really enthused about helping out until the polls close. 

UPDATE #4: It's 6:00 p.m. and Republicans are still door knocking and encouraging people to vote.  Check back to Minnesota Democrats Exposed later tonight for results.

UPDATE:  It's 1:12 p.m. and I'm having lunch in Lonsdale.  I highly recommend the bacon cheeseburgers at the Farmhouse Cafe.

UPDATE #2: It's now 3:02 p.m. and an afternoon of door-knocking has produced a collection of positive remarks and enthusiastic support for the Republican-endorsed candidate Ray Cox. I expect a close election, but the positive feedback has kept me warm on a cold day.

UPDATE #3: It's after 4:30 p.m. and I'm safe at home.  I'll be spending most of tomorrow in SD 25, so check back to Minnesota Democrats Exposed for updates.

What is even more interesting is that the DFL-endorsed candidate, Kevin Dahle, raised a paltry $10,470.  This amount includes a $2,000 contribution from the DFL Party.  Keeping in-line with the fiscal irresponsibility of the DFL Party, Dahle's campaign spent over $12,000.  His young campaign already has debts of over $3,000.

UPDATE: This post has one of the bigger knuckleheads (small blogger, bigger knucklehead) in the liberal blogosphere playing damage control.  Cox's fundraising numbers are impressive and Dahle's campaign finances must be more dire than I thought if the usual DFL suspects are rushing to his defense.

Meanwhile, DFL-endorsed Kevin Dahle may be embarrassed because his fundraising numbers haven't been posted on the campaign finance board's website.

The talk at the Capitol is that the DFL may have already written this election off.  There is still plenty of time for the DFL to get their act together, but a Republican win on Thursday would be the 2nd Minnesota special election that Republicans have won this year.

UPDATE: I'm hearing the DFL is running radio ads for Kevin Dahle in the SD 25 special election. A comment left on this post also states that the DFL is running radio ads.

UPDATE #2: I contacted the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board about Dahle's report.  I was informed that Dahle's report has been filed, but a "technical" issue is preventing it from being posted on the Board's website. 

Several dedicated readers of Minnesota Democrats Exposed contacted me to let me know that Kevin Dahle made some interesting comments about the race, specifically his support for tax increases and views on education.

As predicted, former Representative Ray Cox, faced little opposition in today's primary election in SD 25.  Cox, the Republican-endorsed candidate, beat his GOP rivals with almost 67% of the vote.
