ABOUT ANDY POST

Andy Post began his political involvement by volunteering with 2nd District Congressman John Kline and (then) U.S. Senate candidate Norm Coleman in 2002. He continued staying active in South-Metro politics before co-founding the largest High School Republican group in Minnesota in 2004. During his freshmen year at the University of Minnesota, Post helped coordinate College Republican chapters for Governor Pawlenty’s re-election campaign and was appointed Executive Director of the Minnesota College Republicans in the spring of 2007.

For two years, Post was a columnist for the U of M’s student newspaper, the Minnesota Daily, providing commentary on state and local issues, as well as the election of President Barack Obama. In 2008, Post managed a legislative campaign in western Minnesota and in 2009, Post was hired by House Minority Leader Marty Seifert to help run his gubernatorial campaign in 2010.

Past MDE authors include Luke Hellier and Michael Brodkorb.
